The Cal Poly Mustangs beat the UCLA Bruins 9-8 in overtime to win the Pacific Coast Division Championship. The team will now travel Ohio University in Athens, OH to defend the National Championship from Nov 14-16. posted: Nov 3, 2008

The Cal Poly Mustangs finish league play with a record of 7-1. They will take on the University of California San Diego on November 1st. This is the openning round match of the Pacific Coast Division Championships which will be hosted by Cal Poly at the Rec Pool Nov 1-2.

Three Mustangs are named to the Davis Open all tournament team. Senior Daniel Harris received 1st Team honors, and Senior Josh Mix and Sophmore Brandon Ross received 2nd Team honors.

Cal Poly Water Polo welcomes Matt Landre as the 2007 Head Coach. Matt has a long history as a Mustang. He last coached Cal Poly to the 2004 National Championship, and played for two Cal Poly National Championship teams.
